FAQ

Updated: Feb 25, 2022

Here are the some of the questions I get asked the most!

If you have a different question that's not addressed below, please don't hesitate to reach out and ask! I'd love to hear from you!

WHERE ARE YOU BASED?

Indianapolis, IN; Willing to travel for Newborn Lifestyle Packages. Travel fee may apply.

WHEN TO BOOK?

The sooner the better! Due to the nature of this business, I can only schedule 2-3 births a month. The Fresh 48 and Newborn Lifestyle packages allow a bit more freedom for selecting dates.

WILL YOU RECORD EVERYTHING?

That's up to you! My goal is to make you comfortable, yet empowered. If you want to share the video with family and friends, keep that in mind. During our personal meet and greet we will go over all that!

DO YOU DO PHOTOGRAPHY OR JUST VIDEO?

All of my packages are video-focused, but they also included photos. I know how important it is to have those pictures to frame as well!

WHEN DO YOU ARRIVE AND HOW LONG WILL YOU STAY?

I'll typically arrive once active labor has been established and will stay for the duration of your labor and delivery and a few hours once the baby arrives. This is the perfect time to capture those first hours of bonding!

WHAT DO YOU BRING?

I bring my professional videography equipment and laptop so I can offer you a few digital pictures right away. So once you're ready to share the news of your baby's birth, you'll have some photos! I also have a cute baby blanket to wrap around the mattress in the hospital's baby cot, if needed.

WILL YOU SHARE MY VIDEOS AND PHOTOS?

Your privacy comes first to me and I'll only share videos/photos with express permission. Sharing your birth story is yours to share. If you do choose to share, I'd be honored to celebrate your baby's arrival and help other mothers considering me as their birth videographer/photographer!

SHOULD I LET MY DOCTOR KNOW I WANT A VIDEOGRAPHER IN THE DELIVERY ROOM?

Yes!! It's your responsibility to confirm with your doctors/nurses/midwives if you are allowed to have your delivery recorded. See what their rules are if you need to have an emergency c-section and how many people are allowed in the room. Also, keep in mind if I'm asked to leave I will have to do so. If this were to happen, I would spend that time capturing the excitement of any family and friends in the waiting area and will be waiting to meet you for some amazing videos/photos after your baby is born!

SOUNDS GREAT! WHERE DO I START?

We'll begin our conversation over coffee, on the phone or FaceTime, or however is the most convenient for you. I'd love to get to know you and your family and understand more about your birth plan and wishes for documenting this amazing moment in your life. Head over here to schedule a consultation and reserve your due date!
